I love interesting buildings. Especially ones that are layered rich in colour and creative interior styling – but most of all have this energy as soon as you walk into it.
When I was thinking of this story I wanted something that had this. A friend from LA was staying at the QT Sydney – which actually turned out to be the perfect place….
Ben and I walked in to find doorways, cute decor and eccentric corners throughout. The Parlour Roasters Lane cafe at QT was busy with the usual city scene, but in the most amazing setting, a vintage bar with diner style seats and just a couple couture dresses in glass displays in the centre – which I gazed at in admiration.
It wasn’t long before we found the incredible gold entrance to the State Theatre and immediately knew we had found something beautiful, and the perfect setting for this incredible Steven Khalil dress straight off the red carpet.
With so much eye catching material – Oh yes thats right – we were there to shoot!
Going into Autumn now, I love reverting to my some of my favourite colours especially the reds and creams. Steven never fails to impress, I am so in love with his work. Tight Tigers have just released some great pieces since opening their new Double Bay store I would wear day to night – like this shorts and cape jacket which I haven’t stopped wearing. The Bronx and Banco lace number is my favourite LBD. Lisa Blue have amazing velvet one pieces great for poolside to pairing back with a skirt (..or wearing in the bath)
