THE FAIRMONT HOTEL MAKATI
On my recent trip to Makati, Philippines, I stayed at the newly built, luxurious Fairmont Hotel a 30-story tower located at the prestigious new development of Ayala Land. The Fairmont Hotel known all around the globe has recently opened in Manila alongside Raffles. The luxury brand’s distinctive hotels offer a sense of heritage and sophistication, warm, engaging service and culturally rich experiences.
The modern look of the stand-out 30-floor building that houses both Raffles and Fairmont was conceived by leading architects Arquitectonica. The impressive interiors were done by the renowned interior designer company Bent Severin International. Modern architecture alongside the rich, cultural characteristics of Filipino design has created a sophisticated, elegant look abound with Filipino art and furnishings.
A gastronomic tour for the palate awaits guests at the Raffles and Fairmont Makati. Spectrum is the vibrant all-day dining restaurant featuring five “culinary theaters” to enjoy from. A chic pastry boutique, Café Macaron, offers fresh sandwiches, desserts, pralines and exquisite pastries. The Long Bar was inspired by its namesake, the Long Bar in the Raffles Singapore, featuring creative liquid concoctions including the famous “Singapore Sling”. For quiet and space, the parlour-like Writers Bar offers a respite from the bustling city. The Fairmont Lounge is perfect for afternoon tea and light meals.
For meetings and special events, the hotel offers large areas of function space including a ballroom. The Willow Stream Spa boasts soothing surroundings, featuring five fully equipped treatment rooms, hair salon, full-service nail studio, a mineral pool, an outdoor swimming pool and beautiful terrace offering a luxurious urban retreat.

I spent the afternoon with highly esteemed and internationally awarded fashion photographer Niccolo Cosme and we had an amazing afternoon with his team, dressing up in designs by Eric Delos Santos. Straight off the world stage – his gowns are incredible and on another level.
