Bronx & Banco at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia

Bronx and Banco – the iconic Bondi beach-based fashion label renowned for its slick tailoring, vibrant hues and cutting edge style made their fashion week debut on April 10, 2013

Since its launch in 2009, Bronx and Banco has quickly risen up in the fashion world and garnered a cult following with celebrities such as the Pussycat Dolls, Shelly Craft, Sarah McLeod, Lauren Eagle, Deborah Wright, Kylie Gillies and Sonia Kruger, plus socialites and “it” girls alike.

Renowned for its sophistication and eclectic style juxtaposed with a playful sensibility, Bronx and Banco reflects the impeccable style of its founder Natalie De’Banco. After working in fashion PR, De’Banco quickly saw a gap in the market for affordable chic clothes for the glamorous girl who thrives on standing out from the crowd. And so the brand was born in Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach.

This year Bronx and Banco has collaborated with renowned accessories designer Nina Baranova of Nina Valero, to create a new era of the brand and together, their 2014 Bronx and Banco collection debuting at Fashion Week is set to be one of their best yet.

Bronx and Banco revealed the new collection “5th Element”

Lyc Besson’s gorgeously hi-fashion Sci-Fi “5th Element” is the uncanny starting point for designers Natalie De’Banco & Nina Valero this Summer – a fitting choice for a pair who’ve made their name by shaping and sculpting the female form with second-skin bodycon dresses. Much like Luc Besson’s creation, the range too is filled with a juxtaposition of silhouettes, cut-outs, bold colours and fabrics, plus a bit of 80’s cool.

The range consists of tailored shorts, bodycon dresses, jumpsuits, tailored blazers and statement pieces in a mixture of luxurious fabrics such as silks, crepe, leather and cottons.

The collection also features Charles Billich, one of Australia’s most famous artists, who has created exclusive futuristic prints for the range, which reflects a sense of a timeless elegance.

“5th Element” is aimed at the woman who is unique, strong, independent and isn’t afraid to make a fashion statement. She’ll be able to find her basics and top them off with a dash of colour, a sequence piece or a sexy leather item. She knows that whatever she chooses from the collection will look expensive and yet be affordable.
